Happy May Day!

Morris dancing! Bells and hankerchiefs and sticks and concertinas and accordions and fiddles, hooray!
We arose at 4:45 am (ugh) and drove down to Takoma Park, where we saw Foggy Bottom Morris Men and Rock Creek Morris Women dance for about an hour starting at 6. My annual morris dancing groupie moment (since in all these years I still haven't learned how to do any of the dances!)...
(Many thanks are due to Willow (her new online name), who is a devoted night owl but still got up at five to come with me!)

Somehow I always associate May Day with Very Early! I miss being able to roll out of bed in the dorms at 5:30 and still be at the water tower in Thornden Park by 6...

Man, I remember that. I played some Morris Dancing tunes on my recorder instead. It was probably safer that way.
